Dr. Eduardo Kofman, Director of Digestive Care Center, grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After his graduation from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1987, he continued his training in Internal Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the prestigious Hospital General de Agudos, Dr. Cosme Argerich, affiliated to the Universidad de Buenos Aires, under the guidance of Dr. Samuel Malamud and Dr. Bernardo Frider.
Dr. Kofman then moved to the United States where he continued with postgraduate studies at Beth Israel Medical Center, in New York, NY, (Manhattan Campus of Albert Einstein Medical School) where he completed a full training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, where he specialized in a comprehensive array of gastroenterological problems.
In 1997, Dr. Kofman moved to Brownsville, TX, where he served the community as a gastroenterologist for over 10 years, together with Dr. Oscar Maldonado, as part of Brownsville Care Center.
In 2008 he relocated with his family to Miami, FL. Here he helped create the Digestive Care Center to provide gastroenterological and hepatic care to the North Miami-Dade community.
Dr. Kofman has been specializing in gastrointestinal and liver care since 1984. He believes that it is important to know both the patient and their medical problems. He has experience treating most areas of gastrointestinal and liver diseases and he is particularly committed to raise colon cancer prevention awareness as well as to the challenge of trying to help those patients who have a complicated problem that may be difficult to treat or diagnose.
